Equity PAC endorses Pam DeGryse for 6th District Kent County Commission
Equity PAC is proud to endorse Pam DeGryse for Kent County Commission. Equity PAC adds the endorsement of Ms. DeGryse on top of currently endorsed county commission candidates Stephen Wooden and Monica Sparks.
Ms. DeGryse is a retiree from Grand Rapids Community College. She was on the board of directors of the Michigan Education Association for nine years, GRCC strategic planning for 11 years, and the drain commission for Marne, MI for three years. She was Walker’s Assistant City Treasurer for two years.
“Pam will represent the 6th district very well. She is strongly qualified for the role, but also committed to building the power of the most marginalized in her district,” says Rodney Robinson of Equity PAC.
Kent County's 6th District includes the city of Walker and a portion of the City of Grand Rapids' northwest side. She is running again current incumbent Commissioner Stan Stek.
Equity PAC believes real change is needed in the leadership of the Kent County Commission. This recommendation is made with particular urgency given the more recent attacks on public and transparent meetings by the Chair of the Board of Commissioners, Jim Saalfeld. We widely encourage you to vote for Stephen Wooden, Monica Sparks, and Pam DeGryse on Nov 6th.
Equity PAC is a Michigan-based political action committee. Our mission is to continually increase the number of equity-minded officials, policies, and practices in Michigan. To do this, we mobilize time and money to support equity-minded candidates and ballot initiatives, provide education and advocacy of equity-focused policies, and encourage direct citizen action to address a number of equity issues.
